The big bronze star in Austin

This is a closeup of the 35 foot tall bronze star that stands in front of our Texas State History Museum in downtown Austin.  It is quite a sight, but I may be a bit biased.  We are proud of big stars here in Texas, since we are called The Lone Star State, and you find these decorating many back porches and bars as well as flying on our state flag.  This museum is a cool place and definitely worth a visit when you come to Austin.
