St. Mary's, Austin

I went on a photowalk this morning with my photographer friend Pete Talke who runs the popular travel photo blog places2explore.wordpress.com.  He and I met up downtown and shot around the Capitol for a bit, and then ended up at St. Mary's church.  It is a beautiful building, as most Catholic churches seem to be.  We tried the front door (locked) but were able to get in through a side door we located.  It was essentially empty so we were able to get some shooting done.  After a bit, the priest walked in, came over to me and asked "Who said you could take pictures in my church?".  Oops.  For the record, there was a guy who said we could, but I guess the priest has the final say in these matters.  Anyways, we kindly departed after thanking him, and this is one of the shots that I got.
