The Guadalupe River

"The river delights to lift us free, if only we dare let go." - Richard Bach

This is the Guadalupe River, which runs through some parts of Texas before disappearing into the Gulf of Mexico.  This particular stretch of it is just outside Gruene, TX (pronounced "green") which is a great little town that sits on the river between Austin and San Antonio (I have some shots of Gruene coming later).  This river is very popular during our sweltering summer, where you can find hundreds of folks in inner tubes taking a float downstream (and drinking beer).  I happened to be nearby and decided to get a few shots.  As you can see we do get a touch of Fall color here, though nothing like other places.  Hope you like it!
