The simple things

This is not my usual fare, as I tend to lean more towards landscape photos and the like, but I really liked the simplicity of this shot.  We took a mid-day break and went over to Mayfield Park, commonly known as "the peacock park" because there are a bunch of peacocks and peahens that live there.  It is a nice little oasis not far from downtown, and they have some pretty gardens including several lily ponds with water lilies of various colors.  Of course, the peacocks are the big draw.  If you get there early enough in the day you can find their feathers on the ground, as they are dropping them this time of year.
