Purple orchid

Well, at least I *think* it's an orchid.  I am not too good with flowers, outside of your standard, easy to spot ones like roses.  I continue to experiment with these types of shots as I find it is a nice departure from my usual stuff, and it stretches me to try new things anyways.  

This is a single exposure shot at f/5.6.  I had some late afternoon sun coming through the window, so that is always good to work with.  I thought it cast a nice reflection on the glass.  I made some minor adjustments in PSE (mostly Contrast) and then applied some smoothing in Topaz Adjust.
