A good morning in Denver

I enjoy getting up early to go shoot, though sometimes it is hard.  I had one morning free during my recent Denver visit and tried to make the most of it.  I walked over to see the State Capitol, which is awesome, and en route stopped and took many shots in their large and beautiful Civic Center Park.  It was still pretty early and I was treated to a wonderful and lengthy blue hour, which is my favorite time to shoot anyways.  This shot is the classic case of “don’t forget to look behind you”.  I had been shooting towards the Capitol mostly, since it is a great structure to photograph, and happened to turn around and catch this view.  I liked the lines of the buildings and the shape of the flower garden - I thought they played off of each other pretty well.
