Into the sunset

I was in Washington, DC and had some time to wander with my Nikon.  I love doing that.  Though I like to plan my shots in advance by looking at Google Maps and things like that, I enjoy the "free wandering" time just as much, because you come across unexpected things, and often times get unexpected shots.  Here I was wandering near the Jefferson Memorial, and the large lake that nearly surrounds it.  Sunset was upon me, and I was seriously digging the light.  I saw that lone bird making his way somewhere, and just loved what it added to the shot.
