Sunrise at Radnor Lake

A collision of all my favorite things: morning light, interesting clouds and lots of color, while tucked away in the woods with my Nikon!  In other words, it was a perfect start to the day!

I spent a couple of days last week up in Nashvillle, TN and had the opportunity to get out one morning and shoot the sunrise at Radnor Lake.  It's a beautiful lake in the country outside of Nashville.  I had heard of it (and seen pictures) from my friend Malcolm MacGregor, and luckily he was able to meet me there as well.  We arrived around 6:30am, and could already see lots of interesting clouds in the sky.  We walked to our chosen spot and set up just as the light was beginning to brighten the morning sky with a bounty of color.  It was fabulous.  I must have taken several hundred images from this spot, each one slightly different and with each passing moment the light and cloud configurations were changing too.  Look for more shots from this magical morning coming to the blog soon!
