Darkness on the Thames

London is such a photographic town.  I really enjoyed my trip there, and am happy to return there again soon (more on that on Friday’s post).  I got out one afternoon and did not think I would have much time so I left the tripod back at the hotel.  As it turned out, after some wandering and a few trips on the Tube, I ended up here watching the sun set behind the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben while darkness surrounded me, all the while wishing I had my tripod with me.  So, I shot this handheld and I cranked the ISO to 800 so it’s a little grainy to my eye, but not so bad all things considered.  Plus for me, it really represents what many visitors think of London - Big Ben, Parliament and a bus passing on the bridge.  If nothing else, at least I was there enjoying the moment!
