A monumental sunset

Ok, another bad play on words with today's title.  I guess I can't help myself!  Anyways, I was in Washington, DC on business, and had some spare moments at the end of the day, so I raced downtown to see some sights.  I walked up and down The Mall, saw several memorials, and generally just played the role of tourist, albeit a snap-happy one.  As night began to fall, I was making my way back to my car and happened to be near the Washington Monument.  This is one of those lessons to always turn around and look behind you.  I did so, and just thought the wonderful blue hour sky, with a touch of that red sunset in the distance, was worth keeping.
