The arch at St. Stephen's Green

St. Stephen's Green is a public park that sits in Dublin, Ireland and this arch at the entrance near Grafton Street is hard to miss!  I was walking down Grafton Street - a mostly pedestrian shopping street - and happened upon this beautiful arch.  It was just after sunrise and I was still in full environment-aware bracket mode, cranking out a lot of HDR's in the wonderful morning light that I had.  When I saw this arch, it was a given that brackets were just a few moments away!

I know that centering subjects in your shots is not always the best idea, but from an architectural standpoint, this one just looks best viewed this way.  By the way, this arch is known as the Fusilier's Arch and was erected in 1907 to commemorate soldiers killed in the Second Boer War (I totally had to look that up - thanks Wikipedia!!).

Technicals: 7 exposure HDR, f/13, 14-24 wide angle lens (at 15mm)
