The crypt under Glasgow Cathedral

Deep under the Glasgow Cathedral!

I have been to Glasgow, Scotland several times over the years and always enjoy visiting there.  It's a nice town.  There's a lot to shoot: historic buildings and great architecture, a beautiful river, an incredible University, and some excellent churches.  These are all things that I love to shoot.

Plus, I find the Scottish people to be amazingly friendly.  That's always an added bonus.  So put those two together and you get a really attractive place to me.  I would love to spend lots more time in Scotland, exploring some of the more remote spots.  There are some amazing landscapes there.

Anyways, in all my prior visits I had never made it to Glasgow Cathedral, and I'm not really sure why.  I had passed it by in a car and seen pics of it, but I never made my way there.  Luckily, I was able to change that the last time I went to Glasgow...and I am glad I went!

The Cathedral itself is quite stunning but I really was taken by this crypt underneath.  There's just something awesome about prowling around underneath a church, where it is noticeably cooler and every little sound gives off a dull echo.  It's doubly fun when you have it all to yourself, and come across a scene like this one.  As you can imagine, I was pretty stoked to shoot this place!
