Austintatious

I live in Austin, and I love it here!

This is a great town, and I am proud to call it home.  I may not live here forever, but I sure do enjoy the place.  The summer is oppressively hot, but other than that, it's awesome.  And there is a lot of great stuff to shoot here! (I need to get out more - I have a list a mile long!)

As part of my ongoing challenge to myself to get more of my photos published, I have been digging through some of my archives and dusting off old, forgotten, unpublished works - and sharing them here, on Flickr, and on my SmugMug portfolio site.

It's been great fun to comb through old photos that I previously ignored, and to bring them to life with the powerful tools at my disposal these days.  It's funny, but it is causing me to go through a LOT of older stuff.  I find so much that I skipped over or otherwise ignored, and now that I take a fresh look at them, I find that they are worth sharing.

And yes, I have a thing for signs and graffiti.

So that's what today's post is - a collection of Austin shots taken over the last few years, but that I never got published for any number of reasons.  So really, they may as well be new photos, since no one has ever seen them until now.

And to be clear - I am still taking a LOT of new photos (and am actually doing that on a trip this week!), and will be sharing a lot of those here soon.  But since my travels thus far this year have been somewhat limited, I have taken this opportunity to crank up the volume and get caught up on the backlog.  It's been awesome.

So here you go - some Austin shots that were taken a few years ago, but are just now being released into the wild.  Fly free my photos, and have a great life!  :-)
