Here's a baker's dozen pics from one of my trips to Denver.  I got up early and caught a magical sunrise, which made it all worthwhile.  And by the way, these pics are from 5 years ago.  Why am I sharing them now?  Well, there are a couple of reasons, so click on in and have a read!

Ah, Las Vegas - you are a photographic wonderland!  There really is a lot to shoot there, if you can handle being there for more than 24 hours!  I spent 3 days there recently, and came home with 1500 photos.  So yeah, I guess I did ok.  :-)

It's hard to beat a great sunset.  We all know that.  But when you are in France and you get a great sunset?  Well, that's something to write home about!  Or in this case, write a blog post about.  :-)

Do you ever go back and re-process photos that you have previously shared? I do that sometimes, and find that it's a great creative exercise.  But recently, I HAD to go back and re-create an old photo for a client, and it took me forever to make it look like how it looked when I first processed it, about 5 years ago.  And so I learned a lot in the process - and I am sharing those learnings and my observations in today's post.  Have a look!

Have you ever been to Berlin?  It's a lovely city, though I have only been there for about 6 hours, as I describe in today's post.  But what a great 6 hours it was!  One of the highlights was hanging out here at Checkpoint Charlie - so much history, and so interesting!  Have a look!

Today's post is a collection of photos I took on the day I arrived in Sydney, Australia - after a 16 hour flight and no sleep.  A little dreary but determined, I wandered down to Circular Quay and found lots of great stuff to photograph.  Sometimes you just have to forget that you are tired and focus on getting out there and getting things done!

Today I wax a bit poetic about my love for the mountains.  There's just something about them, in addition to the generous amounts of beauty and staggering landscapes.  And of course I share a bunch of photos from a trip to the mountains last summer - when I caught some wonderful clouds over an alpine lake.  Good times!

I love architecture - a LOT! - and when I find something like this place, I'm pretty fired up. Here's a quick photo tour of Hay's Galleria in London.  Just something I literally stumbled upon - and almost missed!

Whiskey, bridges, a church and a jail - not your normal collection of shots!  Today's post doesn't really follow a "theme" like many of mine do.  This is rather just a group of shots from some of my trips to Dublin that I happened to have ready, but which don't necessarily all go together.  But I think it does give you a nice tour of some cool spots around this lovely Irish town...so click on in and have a look!

Paris is a beautiful city - that's basically an undisputed fact.  But on my recent visit there, I found beauty in lots of unexpected places - including inside a cafe, inside the Musee d'Orsay museum.  Here's a visual tour of the place, which is the home to many of the great works of the Impressionists.  Enjoy!

Sometimes you find yourself in absolutely the wrong place when the sunset decides to get all awesome.  It's a real drag, but hey what can you do about it?  Well, I'll tell you what I do.  I shoot like crazy.  What if it's the best sunset you've seen in ages?  You can't just pack it up and go home.  Take the shot - you never regret it!

It's always hard to get up early for anything - even if it's something you love, like shooting sunrise.  But then again, you can't shoot sunrise any other time of day except morning, so an early rise is sort of a requirement.  So I did just that when I was in Montpellier, France a while back - and it was well worth it!  And it was an amazing sunrise!

Today's post is a collection of 20 photos from a summer hike up to Middle Fork Lake in New Mexico.  It's a beautiful and secluded spot, and well worth the effort to get to it!  I shot landscapes, waterfalls and even little fairy mushrooms - good fun!  Have a look, and thanks for stopping by!

Change is a given - and change is good.  I've personally gone through some major changes over the last (almost) year that I have been shooting with a mirrorless camera - and it's been incredible.  My eyes are wide open to the possibilities, and I am having a blast with all sorts of new and creative things that I never even considered before.  So, click on in and see what all I am talking about.  I now find myself on a new creative path, and it's awesome.

Here's a few shots from a trip I took last year up to Minneapolis.  It's really a very beautiful city, and this was my first visit with a camera.  These shots were all captured one evening during blue hour, down at their lovely State Theatre.  Have a look!
