There is a lot of versatility in using LUTs for your post-processing. I think of them as a βstarter presetβ. They give you a great look to start with, and you can further edit from there if you want to. If you arenβt sure how you want to edit a photo, try a LUT and it may launch you into an entirely new creative direction.
Itβs also great that you can use them across multiple photo editing applications (Luminar, On1 Photo Raw, etc). This gives you the ability to carry a specific look that you like with you, regardless of which app you are editing in.
I find that LUTs are saving me several steps in my editing - because they contain several adjustments already - and then I only use maybe one or two more filters, depending on the photograph. Below are some sample photos edited using some of the LUTs in this versatile pack. Note that these example photos only have the LUT on them - no other editing. (Click to enlarge.)
So with essentially 1 click you can get a big change done to your photo. I do recommend further editing however, especially if you want to change up the look a bit. Add some other filters, experiment and see what works best for your image. Mostly, have fun! Thanks for looking!
