Purple water lily

I really like the color purple, probably due to my mom's influence.  It seems regal to me.  When I saw this flower I knew I wanted to have a picture of it. I like how the light is hitting it and the rich pink and purple tones.  Though I normally shoot landscape and architectural sort of stuff, I enjoy the occasional departure into the world of macros.  There are a lot of things to shoot if you look close enough, and some are literally right under your feet.
