Rain on Congress Avenue
I love shooting in downtown Austin, and my favorite time to do so is in the wee hours of the morning. I am generally a morning person, but still find it hard to get up for this stuff sometimes. Anyways, one morning I did succeed in getting downtown while it was still dark, and I had Congress Avenue nearly to myself (well, along with a couple of vagrants too I guess). For those of you not familiar with Austin, Congress Avenue is the main drag through the middle of downtown and leads to the Texas State Capitol (which you can see in the distance). It had rained so the streets had that nice glimmer that only rain can bring, so I strolled out into the middle of the street and took this single long exposure.
