Create an Autumn Look in Luminar
Have you ever wanted to convert a photo from Spring to Fall? It's easy in Luminar!
I take a lot of photos, and many times they are full of green grass, green trees...green everything. There is nothing wrong with green, but sometimes I just want to pretend that it's Autumn instead and that all the leaves are golds, oranges and reds. Living in Central Texas, I don't get to experience Fall the way many others do, and so I have to fake it. :-)
It's quite easy to do in Luminar, which is the newest product from Macphun, and one that I am spending a LOT of time using now. I absolutely love it, and have gotten really comfortable using it as an integral part of my workflow.
Converting an image to look like Autumn in Luminar just involves two filters: Foliage Enhancer and HSL. All you do is take the Foliage Enhancer Hue slider to the far left, and then adjust the Amount slider to your liking. Then open up HSL and do the same thing with the Hue portion for the green and yellow (and possibly orange) sliders.
Adjust them to your liking, and then add more filters if you want/need to further edit. Just be careful about the saturation levels (which you can easily adjust) because it can look pretty fake pretty quickly (like in the example screenshot above, which is just for demonstration purposes).
Quick and easy and very effective.
