I'm really fired up about this. You know by now that I am a HUGE advocate for Aurora HDR and use it on every photo. Well Macphun just announced a new version of the software and it's going to be AWESOME! There are a ton of new features, and they are great!

I have been using an "early beta" version of Aurora 2017 for a few days now, and I love it. It's got a lot of great new stuff in it and I am still working my way through it all and trying to digest it. This is more than just a dot release - it's a full-on upgrade, and I am sure you will want it when it's available!
A couple of quick thoughts after a few days with Aurora 2017 (note: this is early beta, so things may change):
- The interface is updated and cleaner, even though the current version is clean in my opinion. But it looks more "modern" if that makes sense. A few things have been moved slightly and more real estate is given to the image, which is great. However, it will feel instantly familiar to anyone using the current version.
- The polarizing filter is a GREAT addition and works beautifully. It's an adjustment slider on the right hand menu panel.
- The Top & Bottom Adjustment slider has been updated to include further control over how it impacts the image.
- Aurora now has HUE on the Saturation and Luminance sliders - which is great!
- The Radial Gradient tool is going to come in really handy. I love having it there, very convenient.
- It appears that Luminosity Masking has been updated, reworked and expanded - more on that later as I get deeper into it. But it appears to offer much finer control than the current version.
- The Blending Modes have been expanded as well with more options.
I will be sure to let you know all about it in the coming weeks, once it's fully available and ready to go - and yes, I plan to create a BUNCH of videos, too.

The official launch of Aurora 2017 will be on September 29th, and will be available for pre-order starting September 15th.
