Where to Get Inspiration - Landscape Edition

In a blog post a while back, I talked about how helpful it can be to study photographers whose work inspires you - follow them, look closely at their images, and learn from what you see. What I didn’t do was share any actual examples. So today, I’m fixing that.

Some of the photographers below are friends. Some I’ve met briefly. Others I’ve admired from a distance for years. But they all have one thing in common: they create consistently beautiful landscape images that can teach you more than any tutorial ever could.

Each of them brings a unique style and creative approach. My suggestion? Pick one or two at a time and really spend some time with their work. Don’t rush. Let yourself linger on their compositions, the way they shape light, and how they use color to transform a scene. The more you slow down and truly look, the more you’ll learn.

I’ve included their Instagram accounts so you can explore their galleries easily. And for now, this list is focused strictly on landscape photographers. I also love shooting cities and street scenes, so a separate list for those may be coming soon.

Of course, this is far from a comprehensive roundup - there are countless talented landscape photographers out there. These are simply a few whose work has stayed with me and that I think you’ll enjoy.
