I never set out to become a YouTuber — it just sort of happened. Reaching 50,000 subscribers made me pause to look back on how this unexpected journey began, what it’s taught me, and what comes next.

Some of my thoughts about social media and what I am trying to achieve in using these various social platforms.

Time is fleeting, and I am changing how I spend mine. I’m not interested in doing it all, so I’ve cut down on the things that don’t really matter. How about you?

I’m changing my relationship with social media. Here are my thoughts about it, how I am using it (or not), and what I see myself spending the most time on.

Here’s a summary of what I did on Flickr in 2020. It was a tough year in a lot of ways, but regardless my photography was always there for me, and of course Flickr is my favorite place to share my work. Take a look!

Do you use Flickr?  Are you reading the news about Yahoo, Flickr's parent company, being sold off and possibly dismantled?  I am reading it, and I don't like what I hear.  But, maybe there's a silver lining in there.

I've been taking a break from Facebook, and it's been great.  Here's what I am doing instead, and here's what I have learned.  

Facebook has changed a lot, and not for the better.  It's harder and harder to drive traffic to the blog...so here is what I am doing about that!
