I've been experimenting with long exposures lately, so today I share something I created recently while shooting a sunset in Florence, Italy.  This is a 2 minute exposure shot with a Vu 10-stop Filter attached.  Check it out!

Standing on a pile of rocks at the edge of Riomaggiore, Italy and happily firing away during a lovely blue hour - that's what's on tap here today, folks.  Dive in.

I always wanted to shoot a gorgeous sunset from this spot in Rome, and as luck would have it, it happened to me last week - by accident.  I wasn't even out on a photo hunt, I was just walking home from dinner with the family.  Then, this!

Sometimes you just show up at the right time and get lucky.  That's exactly what happened to me one evening in Seattle.  I'll take it anytime!  ;-)

Don't you love it when you get a wonderful sunset at the place you have always wanted to photograph a wonderful sunset?  Yeah, sometimes it happens, and when it does, IT'S AWESOME.

Today I share a collection of photographs that I took in New Mexico.  I can't believe the light there - I always get such wonderful sunrises and sunsets.  Maybe it's due to some factor I am not aware of, but I don't care.  It helps me get better photos, so I love it!

Sometimes you work your butt off to get to a sunset location at just the perfect moment - and other times, you just stroll out your door and it appears.  This is one of those times.  We just wandered out on the beach in Arch Cape, Oregon and this happened.  Don't you love that?

Today I share some sunset pics from a trip to Friday Harbor, Washington that we took last summer.  It ended up being a pretty nice sunset, and the dramatic setting of a lighthouse on the shore just made it that much more special!

On my last trip to Amsterdam, I happened to show up at the Rijksmuseum at the right time for a stunning twilight and blue hour.  Though sunset was non-existent, the rest of the magic hour was really beautiful! 

Here's a rather beautiful sunset that I captured last fall in New York, from the top of Rockefeller Center.  It's an incredible view of the city, and topping it off with some great light was like icing on the cake!

On our recent jaunt to Florida and back, we spent a night in Destin.  We had heard about the beaches there and just had to check them out.  Check out these photos of a stunning sunset I captured there and get my thoughts on the place as well.  Enjoy!
