Ah, the mountains!  Cool breezes, fresh air, and wicked cool clouds!  I do love the mountains, and whenever I get a chance to visit and photograph them, I'm like a kid in a candy store.  It's just what I love.  Perhaps I should move?

How about some more photos from San Antonio?  You ok with that?  Great!  Let's dive in and check out the Riverwalk at sunrise.  There are no tourists, and the water is like glass.  All the lights are on, so you can get great reflections that really come to life.  Oh and there are bridges!  It's all quite beautiful, so click on in and enjoy!

I am always carrying a list with me when I travel to any city, and the list contains all the big, important things I hope to photograph while I am there.  And I think that is a good thing.  But equally - if not more - important, is noticing, enjoying and photographing the little things that you see while out there.  They add a lot to your experience and enjoyment of a city.  So today, here's a few of the "little things" I enjoyed in Amsterdam!

I just got back from NYC, and brought home a few images as well.  It's a great town for that, though you can read my thoughts on NYC in this post.  In short, I like it, but don't love it.  However, I really enjoyed wandering in Central Park and firing off a bunch of photos!  Check 'em out!

How about we step back into history today?  Specifically, 16th century France - does that sound good?  It does to me, so I hope you will come along for the ride.  It's going to be fun, educational, colorful (of course!) and hopefully inspirational too!  Vive le France!  (or something like that)

Have you ever visited San Antonio, TX?  It's very beautiful, especially the Riverwalk area, and especially at sunrise when there are no tourists in the way.  Have a look...I think you will enjoy these.  Oh, and I toss out a 5 year old sunset photo too, since I had forgotten about it.  No time like the present!

Montmartre is a beautiful part of Paris, which is itself a very beautiful city.  Today's photo tour of Montmartre is done in honor of the great painters who once roamed the streets here.  I took a collection of photos and converted them to digital paintings!

I enjoy checking out sculpture gardens - they are often a great place for interesting photographs.  My visit last week to Minneapolis confirmed it - this crazy (and large!) sculpture of a spoon with a cherry on it is awesome!

Do you ever get out and shoot at sunrise?  You should!  Especially when in a touristy area of a city, sunrise is great to shoot because all the tourists are still asleep.  It's quiet and awesome.

While everyone loves a sunset shot, it's well worth getting out and shooting in the afternoon too - especially if you happen to be in Amsterdam!  Here's 3 photos to help convince you.  :-)

Facebook has changed a lot, and not for the better.  It's harder and harder to drive traffic to the blog...so here is what I am doing about that!

Today I share some images of Big Ben in London - that are converted to paintings, using Topaz Simplify.  Take a look and let me know what you think!  It's been a great app to experiment with!

London City Hall is one of many iconic and interesting bits of architecture in London.  Honestly, the city is full of them!  Have you been to see this place?

How about a little waterfall that I found by walking OFF the trail?  I recommend that when hiking.  If you hear running water - go look for it!  You might find something beautiful.
