On my recent trip to Copenhagen, I had hopes for good shooting, but the weather forecast did not look promising.  Couple that with a missed connection in London, and I was sure that my first day there was going to be a bust.  But sometimes Mother Nature (and travel complications) work out for the best!  I ended up shooting a fabulous sunset - and here are 22 photos (count 'em!) to illustrate just how great it was.  Have a look!

I have spent the last four weeks on the move, and in that time I fired about 9000 photos.  It's been productive, amazing, fabulous, and a little tiring.  I drove a long way, and flew even further.  I have so much to share here that I fear I am already behind!  So today's post is an iPhone summary of these 3 trips and all the fun that I had on them.  Enjoy!

If you are like me, shooting a bunch of old gas pumps and other antique memorabilia is your idea of an afternoon well spent!  I did just that in Embudo, New Mexico at the Classical Gas Museum, and it was absolutely awesome.  Here's a visual tour of the inside of the museum - 14 photos in all.  It should keep your eyes busy for a bit!  :-)

I absolutely love to get up and shoot the sunrise, and even if it isn't that great, I always feel good getting some creative time first thing in the morning.  But on a recent trip to New Mexico, I planned to sleep in, but I guess Mother Nature had a different idea, because I woke up in time to shoot an absolutely amazing and colorful sunrise.  Here are 12 photos that will give you a good sense of just how beautiful it was!

This Japanese Garden in the heart of Portland, OR is absolutely gorgeous!  I spent some time there with a few friends a couple of years ago (yep, Jim's a little behind in processing my pics!) and boy did I ever come back with some winners!  Sadly, it's taken me over 2 years to get around to sharing them...but finally...here they are!  Hope you enjoy the view!

Ah, the good life at Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia!  Haha, ok, I suspect life in this prison was not so good  - I mean, take a look at these 23 photos and form your own conclusions.  This old prison is now a museum and such a great place for photography.  I fired like crazy here, and walked away with a lot of pics.  It was great!  Come have a look!

My family and I spent a recent week in Abiquiu, NM - in this wonderful casita perched high on a hill with a commanding view of the surrounding countryside.  It was beautiful, and of course I took a lot of photos.  Today's post has 14 pics that I took on the evening we arrived, so dive on in and enjoy the sunset and the pics!

Today's post is an ode to that wonderful city in the Pac Northwest - Seattle, the Emerald City.  I love it there, just absolutely love it.  I hope to return someday soon (but it's not currently in the plans, darnit!).  Take a look at all 22 photos - yes there are 22, count 'em! - and let me know if you love the city as much as I do!

Austin is a great town to live in - just ask anybody.  But it's also a great town to take photos in.  I've been doing that for years, but all of these were just collecting virtual dust in my library.  So I dusted them off, polished them up, and now they are presentable.  :-)  I hope you enjoy this little visual tour of Austin as much as I enjoyed taking the shots!

I really love the city of Amsterdam.  Most people think of it as a place to go party, but not me - it's a place to take beautiful photographs.  There is just so much loveliness in Amsterdam - have a look at today's crop of 12 photos and let me know your thoughts! 

Dallas is a big city - no surprise there - and as such, I always overlooked it as a photo destination.  But I came across a bunch of old Dallas photos in my library recently, and it gave me a new appreciation for the Big D as a photo destination.  There's actually a lot to shoot there!  So click on in and have a look - there are 17 photos that prove my point!

I seriously enjoy going to London and taking photos - it's one of my favorite cities, and I find it rather beautiful.  In fact, when I am there, I find it hard to sleep because I want to be out shooting so much!  So in an effort to get more of my London shots "out there" for public consumption, here's 17 more that I hope you enjoy viewing as much as I enjoyed taking!

I went to Las Vegas a few weeks back, and one evening I put on the prime lens and fired away!  It's a small but powerful little piece of glass, allowing me to shoot at f/1.7.  So I fired away - handheld only - and came back with these 15 images that I am sharing today.  Take a look and enjoy!

I love the Impressionists, and enjoy their work immensely.  When Topaz Labs created Impression - a software product that helps you convert your photos to digital paintings in a very realistic way - I was very intrigued.  Well I have used it for months now, and have found that it is having a profound impact on my photography.  Today's post is all about that, and of course there are a BUNCH of my digital paintings included for your viewing pleasure.  Hop on in!

When you find yourself in a fabulous city like New York, and it's sunset, and you have your camera with you - it's time to fire away!  (hey Jim, that's obvious!)

But sometimes you get home and think about the shots you didn't take.  That's ok, and it does happen.  But it's also rewarding when you decide to change your habits and do something you never really do, and it works out great.  Here's 6 pics from Central Park where I changed things up and it worked out great.  Have a look!
