Parisian architecture

One of the many great things about Paris is that no matter where you go, there is something amazing and beautiful to look at (and photograph, of course).  This is a perfect example of what I am talking about.

It was our last morning in Paris, and we had a few spare hours on hand before we went to the train station and made our way back to London, to catch a flight home.

Since we had been doing the non-stop tourist thing all across town for several days, we thought that this last morning should be more relaxing, so we stayed closed to our rented place in the Marais district.  So basically, this means we walked around rather aimlessly and just enjoyed being in Paris.

At some point, we found ourselves in the area around the Place des Vosges, and during my wanderings there I turned a few corners and VOILA!  I found this place.  I am not really sure what it is, but as a fan of architecture it was hard to resist taking some shots.
