I found myself on a quest while in Florence, Italy - a quest to capture as much of the work by street artist "Blub" as I could find.  I discovered 16 works by the artist, so here they are.  They all feature either a famous work of art or a famous person (real or imagined), each fitted with a swimming mask.  It's a fun diversion from all that other art in the city!

Just a quick shot of a cool store in Austin - Room Service Vintage.  I have driven past it for years and always wanted to shoot it.  So, I finally did it and am glad that I did.

I always wanted to shoot a gorgeous sunset from this spot in Rome, and as luck would have it, it happened to me last week - by accident.  I wasn't even out on a photo hunt, I was just walking home from dinner with the family.  Then, this!

Sometimes you just show up at the right time and get lucky.  That's exactly what happened to me one evening in Seattle.  I'll take it anytime!  ;-)

There's something special about Florence, Italy.  We recently spent over a week there, and I loved it.  Here's an iPhone photo summary of some of the great things we witnessed!

Don't you love it when you get a wonderful sunset at the place you have always wanted to photograph a wonderful sunset?  Yeah, sometimes it happens, and when it does, IT'S AWESOME.

Sometimes you have to give up looking for original shots and just join in with the crowd to get the shot you want.  And sometimes it's worth it to do so.

An amazing-looking restaurant I found while wandering in Sydney.  Well worth a quick stop for some HDR brackets!

Despite the exorbitant heat of summer, Sedona really does seduce the senses.  There are some incredible landscapes nearby that offer great photographic possibilities.  Today I show you Cathedral Rock.

Sometimes you wander into buildings and find amazing things - and then you have to return with the camera.  Don't you love happy accidents?

I'm a fan of bridges, and when in Sydney - this is the one to shoot.  Ideally you get a stellar sunset or a gorgeous blue hour, but either way, get over here and fire away!  :-)

About an hour away from Austin, in a tiny little Texas town, there's this beauty.  It's a painted church dating from the mid 1800's, and it's a real gem.  Step inside and have a look.

I'm normally a "big color" type of photographer, but I have been exploring a new creative path with black and white photography, and have both learned a lot and changed my mind about monochromes.  It's all due to my recent use of Tonality by Macphun - and here are 10 examples of the same photo that show you just how versatile monochrome photography can be.

Shooting a long exposure of the Loop 360 Bridge in Austin, with the passing cars blurring out and just leaving light trails.  That's a good way to spend an evening!

I spend a lot of time thinking about photography, and sometimes I write these thoughts down.  Usually it's in a coherent (at least to me) form with a clear purpose, but not this time.  This is all just off-the-top-of-my-head, so consider that fair warning.  ;-)
